Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning is a municipal responsibuility and has taken place in most large cities in the USA with extensive consultation but not following any specific methodology.

There are nine cities of which two are metropolitan areas with Urban Mobility Plans online with a total population of 25.9 million people. The cities range in size from 25,000 people (Newport, Rhode Island) to 10.1 million people (Los Angeles). All plans are in English.
