The Leaders in Urban Transport Planning (LUTP) program empowers policy-makers with the skills needed to identify, prepare, and implement holistic strategies that address complex urban transport challenges. The LUTP program provides interactive training workshops through which city transport leaders gain the skills needed to identify, prepare, and implement holistic solutions to complex urban transport issues.
The online classroom video series is an initiative by UN-Habitat and its partners which grew out of the Academy of Sustainable Urban Mobility (AoSUM). The experience and the knowledge of renowned experts from the private and the public sector will be shared with those who are interested in sustainable urban mobility topics. The classroom series is free and consists of 7 videos, each lasts between 10-15 minutes. After submitting a short registration form access is provided to 7 videos. The knowledgeable speakers present latest research, case studies and best practice examples on urban mobility as well as additional readings, presented material and information about the speaker.
The Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) provides an online training database of 36 training modules in various languages.
The CityConsult Agency provides an effective solution to foster city exchanges and transferability, by ensuring a continuing process of knowledge sharing, mentoring, learning, and replication. Mobility experts and practitioners from European cities and beyond are invited to explore the CityConsult Agency which offers five training courses.
The EIT Urban Mobility Competence Hub offers free online content for professionals on different key aspects of urban mobility. EIT offers two types of Urban Mobility online courses: Small Online Courses (SOCs) which are free of charge and take 1-4 hours to complete and "Massive Open Online Courses" which take 10-20 hours to complete.
The CIVITAS Catalogue on Education in Urban Mobility provides an overview of educational offers in (or related to) urban mobility, offered by educational institutes all across Europe. It supports current and future students to identify a programme, course, or module they might be interested in applying for; supports university representatives in identifying cooperation opportunities with other institutes; and helps industry stakeholders find new educational partners.
The CIVITAS Learning Centre has a large catalogue of capacity building opportunities on all aspects of sustainable mobility, including e-courses, recorded webinars, and upcoming training events and courses.
The European Local Transport Information Service (ELTIS) provides training materials (including videos) on all aspects of urban mobility.
To share insights externally and expand and scale impact in inclusive, sustainable mobility in Brazil, ITDP launched the MobiliCAMPUS in March 2019. MobiliCAMPUS is a 40-hour course with modules presenting international best practices and guidelines for planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies and projects to government officials and technicians at the municipal, metropolitan and federal levels. The course is in Portuguese.
The Mobility Academy is coordinated by Rupprecht Consult – Forschung und Beratung GmbH, a fully independent private research and consultancy company, based in Cologne, Germany. All Mobility Academy courses are currently offered as learning activities developed in the context of European research and innovation projects on sustainable mobility so as to share the insights and knowledge gained with a wide audience. The courses are free of cost to participants.
